To be abrasive is showing little concern for the feelings of other; when an individual is harsh.
It could also mean causing damage to a system.
An abrasive personality is a one that hurts, annoys, irritates and criticises anyone and anything, without feeling remorse.
They are of two types; one lacks self awareness and does not know they are abrasive, and the other who knows fully well that they are abrasive and take pride in it.
