The second edition of the highly acclaimed future tour by Sigma Pensions has been put in full swing. The tour tagged “Ready, Set, Boss” began on the 30th of July 2018 at the NYSC Orientation camp, Abuja and made its next stop at the great Nnamdi Azikwe University, Awka (UNIZIK).
On the 3rd of August 2018, the Sigma Heroes (Sigma Pensions representatives) and the Co-founder of The Footwear Academy; Miss Chidinma Emodi were present at the university to enlighten the students as well as guests about pensions while also collating, assessing and awarding the most viable business ideas.
On becoming a successful entrepreneur, there are some steps to consider and the guest speaker Miss Chidinma Emodi gave a lowdown of thirteen essential steps. The statement “Beyond your skill, your character will be your differentiating factor because you can train skill but you cannot train character” made by Miss Chidinma was especially resounding. The importance of having character as an aspiring or existing entrepreneur cannot be over-emphasized. In the pursuit of a successful business venture, one cannot put a price on character.
Subsequent to all the enlightening sessions, the students and guests engaged in a couple of fun activities such as dancing competitions, rap battles as well as a raffle draw where they won really exciting prizes alongside the highly coveted Sigma goody bag after which the Sigma Heroes and the guest speaker assessed several business ideas out of which nine semi-finalists with incredible business ideas emerged. The nine semi-finalists were asked to present their ideas to the audience to determine the authenticity of their business ideas and how they intend to go about it. After a thorough assessment, three finalists were selected and Miss Chiwetalu Okafor was crowned the overall winner and was awarded a cash prize of ?250,000 for the most viable business idea.
The Sigma Future Tour will be stopping next at the University of Benin before heading to the NYSC Orientation Camp, Lagos and making their final stop at the Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO).
Sigma Pensions will be rewarding the most innovative business ideas with a grant of N250, 000 at each of these locations. Interested Participants should visitwww.sigmaclique.com/futuretour for more details or follow Sigma Pensions on the various social media platforms listed below.
