Fireboy DML recently shared a personal preference during an interview that’s sparked heated conversations across social media. The singer revealed that, for him, one of the most attractive traits a woman can have is the ability to hold a meaningful conversation paired with a good sense of humor.
The “Vibration” crooner described such women as rare gems, suggesting that if a man is lucky enough to meet one, he should hold on tightly even if it’s just a situationship.
“If she can hold a conversation. Because to find a woman that can hold a conversation and has a sense of humour is rare, and it’s a blessing you got to hold on to that one, even if it’s a situationship,” he said.
While Fireboy likely intended the comment as a compliment, the response online suggests many listeners especially women interpreted it differently. What he may have viewed as praise came off, to some, as a subtle insult.
Many critics argued that the idea of women lacking conversational depth or humor is both outdated and arrogant. It reignited an age-old online debate about how men perceive women in intellectual and emotional spaces.
