After defeating South Africa 1-0, the Super Falcons of Nigeria advanced one step closer to obtaining a spot in the Olympic football competition in Paris in 2024.
Friday’s first leg of the qualifications took place in Abuja, with Rasheedat Ajibade scoring a penalty kick in the 43rd minute to give the Nigerians the advantage.
There would be no goals scored in the second half, as the Super Falcons held on for the win.

The one goal according to Nigerians should have been more and they could regret it when they face off in the second leg.
The Super Falcons lost to South Africa at the last AWCON and Nigerians are concerned about their chances in Pretoria.
